My friend Ashlee gave this recipe to me after she brought it to a gathering, so I don't know where it came from. I do know that it was delicious.
Pretzel Dip
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch dressing, dry
1 pkg (2.5 oz) real bacon bits
1 cup mild finely shredded cheddar cheese
16 oz. sour cream
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
Mix together and chill. Serve with pretzels and/or corn chips

Feel Good, Columbus used to be all about things that to do and places to go in the city, with recipes thrown in here and there. Once I started Columbus on the Cheap, I eventually stopped posting about events and such on this site because CotC covered all of that. But I'm still a pretty damn good cook, and I am still obsessed with recipes, so I plan to post good ones on here when I get a chance.
Not all of my recipes are going to be super-healthy. Fat isn't your enemy...processed and fast-food is. I cook a lot with whole food - I know some people can't cook from scratch every night, but try to every once in awhile - on the weekends, your days off...
Cooking isn't rocket science. I use recipes as an idea and tend to change them a lot as I go. You should do the same. As far as baking goes? Don't change recipes too much - it is science - so I don't deviate much for baked goods.
